Earlier today, a music video I directed for Lady Lamb the Beekeeper made its world premiere on SPIN Magazine’s website. The story of the video follows a mysterious person in a fencing outfit as they kidnap people and bring them to a creepy dark room where they are tied to a table and force-fed pies. This video comes out in support of LLBk’s recently-released album Ripely Pine, available on Ba Da Bing Records. Click here to watch the video on SPIN.com.

Frontier Ruckus, one of my favorite bands, asked me to make a music video for their new album’s debut single, “Careening Catalog Immemorial.” For the video, I convinced a bunch of my teenaged friends to ride in a limo, play Nintendo, drink soda, and have an ice cream fight, and now the video gets its exclusive premiere on IFC.com. I directed a music video for my dear friend Sontiago’s song “Muscle Car,” and you can watch it exclusively at VICE right now. It takes a village to make a music video, and this project brought together so many amazing Portland folks. We balled, we danced, we hula hooped, we spat (and got spat on), and we danced some more. DAMNATIONLAND 2012 screenings are wrapped

On a shoestring budget, fueled by peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and emboldened by our righteous mission to spread the gospel of Maine filmmaking, we screened the DAMNATIONLAND 2012 program in five Maine venues, in Ohio’s Athena Cinema, and 100 feet off Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

As one of the co-producers of this year’s program, I felt honored to collaborate with all the talented filmmakers and artists who came together to make this year’s screenings a success. A DVD is in the works, and our NYC screening (postponed due to Hurricane Sandy) will be rescheduled, so stay tuned for more shenanigans in the near future.

A music video I produced and edited for Maine Academy of Modern Music and Playing for Change / Playing For Maine is online for your viewing pleasure. Styled after Playing For Change’s “Stand By Me” video, this project showcases 23 different musical acts performing the same song in different locations around Portland, Maine. Filmed by eight Maine filmmakers, this project is a testament to the power of music, community, and love.
